Whey clarifier to remove cheese fines and protect downstream equipment
REDA dairy separators of RE-P series are designed to clean whey from very small curd residuals (fines) which cannot be removed by static or rotative filtration. At the same time whey cleaning improves separation efficiency in subsequent whey skimming phase.
The wide working surface, the high centrifugal force and the extremely fast expulsion of sludge guarantee a great efficiency of separation and cleaning.
The clarification efficiency at maximum flow rate depends on the quality of the treated product and its temperature. Cold product can easily be treated with a corresponding reduction of the machine flow rate.
Milk Clarifier for high quality dairy products
Milk clarification represents a very important step in milk processing when aiming at high quality dairy products.
Usually, the raw milk that arrives at the dairy must be cleaned to eliminate solid impurities which may be present. Examples of undesired constituents in raw milk are particles of dirt, straw, hair and sand particles, blood residues, udder cells and a great many different somatic cells, bacteria and spores. REDA centrifugal separators of RE‐P Series are designed and built specifically to remove impurities from the milk (cow, sheep, goat, etc.), while treating the product gently to obtain premium quality of the end product. Generally, even a cream separator can be used as a milk clarifier, but its cleaning efficiency is lower compared to that of a specific clarifier.
The wide working surface and the extremely fast expulsion of the sludges ensure a high level of clarification efficiency, and a significant reduction of the bacterial load.
